I am currently re-reading the "Night's Dawn" trilogy from Peter. F. Hamilton. This will be the fourth or fifth time I've waded through the six paperbacks (don't want to open the hardcover copies).
This series, this universe, is one of the most grand space operas of all time. The detail is stunning, the action is nonstop, the philosophy and political commentary are effectively in the background. A great deal of sci-fi readers credit the Dune series as sci-fi's answer to the Lord Of The Ring series. I disagree completely. Herbert painted with broad strokes and left us gasping for detail at nearly every turn. Tolkein astounded us with his background detail. I believe Hamilton has done this with the vibrant universe of telepathic Edenists, technological Adamists and sentient habitats that grow longer than 40k and live thousands of years. Check it out some time. Never...EVER...sneeze and fart at the same time.

I already told you all I am readign the Chroinicles of narnia, by C.S.Lewis. I begin Monday with Prince Capsian. I am reading one a week.

Recently finished Hunters of Dune (Spoiler-free review available in this very forum). Now re-reading God Emperor of Dune, and enjoying it considerably more.
